The Norte Dame Cathedral should be rebuilt in a longer span because it’s going to affect the environment. The environment is already suffering as is. The quality of work will not be as good as if it was built taking it slow. When I rush my artwork and projects they do not come out as if I took my time. Rebuilding the cathedral is making jobs but they reacquire additional training.
Since it's a fire that destroyed some parts, they need to take time to rebuild it. Rushing it may lead to further complications in the future.
I feel that no matter how long it takes to preserve it, just as long as the builders keep most of its historical significance. I would also prefer if they can build a sturdier structure on the inside of the destroyed parts, but still hold its original outer design.
I would have to listen to the experts and truly plan things. I'm sure technology can definitely speed things up a bit, but more then five years I'm sure. I'm also against changing the image or adding something modern.
I understand the importance and significance of having the Notre Dame present during the French Olympics, but with something as delicate as a full restoration, they should definitely take their time. A rushed job might end up harming some of the key features. With such an important building full of history, I believe it would be better to listen to the experts and take time doing the job carefully and right.
